Job Description
Time Appointments are working on behalf of a well-established freight forwarder who are seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Clerk to join their successful Ipswich team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a couple of years’ industry experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and driven environment.
The team operate across air, sea, and road freight for both imports and exports – candidates with a strong import background will be well-suited. Training can be provided across additional transport modes as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing day-to-day import operations
* Liaising with customers, carriers, and suppliers to coordinate shipments
* Completing CDS customs entries and ensuring compliance
* Maintaining accurate documentation and shipment records
* Using CargoWise to update and monitor shipments (experience beneficial)
Skills & Experience Required:
* 2+ years’ freight forwarding experience (import-biased preferred)
* Working knowledge and hands-on experience with CDS
* Experience using CargoWise is advantageous
* Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail
* A proactive team player with a positive and adaptable approach
