Operations Delivery Manager - Utilities (Electricity Connections)

📍 Reading / West London
 💼 Permanent or Contract (Outside IR35 options available)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Delivery Manager to support delivery across key electricity connection projects within a DNO, covering up to 11kV underground and 33kV overhead line (OHL) works.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for operational performance across civils, reinstatement, and OHL functions.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the operational lead across multi-disciplinary delivery teams
Oversee civils, reinstatement, and OHL departments, with direct line management of relevant managers
Ensure efficient, safe, and commercially viable project delivery
Drive performance, decision-making, and continuous improvement across operations
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across projects and business functions

About You

Proven experience in a senior operational role within utilities, ideally electricity connections
Strong background in delivery of underground (up to 11kV) and/or OHL (33kV) projects
Demonstrable leadership experience, managing teams and driving outcomes
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project economics
Confident decision-maker with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Location & Working Pattern

Split between Reading and West London offices
Flexible working arrangements may be available

Package

Permanent: Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
Contract: Day rate negotiable, Outside IR35 (depending on experience)
