Operations Director
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + car allowance, bonus and excellent benefits package
Location: Skelmersdale area
Our client is looking to appoint an Operations Director to identify and put in place operational strategies and structure that will support their current and future growth targets. The Operations Director will play a pivotal role in realising this growth. This role is about driving the operational agenda, employing modern/best practices to a business which has grown rapidly. Must have Manufacturing/assembly, Warehousing, Logistics and Customer Service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance operational efficiency across the business and support the company's growth.
Collaborate with Team Leaders to align operational strategies and overall business goals.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including Manufacturing/assembly, Warehousing, Logistics and Customer Service.
Carry out a review of key operational metrics and put in place robust and focused KPIs to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
Lead a programme of continuous improvement to enhance overall service quality and to drive process and operational efficiencies.
Optimise resource allocation including personnel, equipment and materials to maximise productivity and minimise costs.
Establish, lead and enforce quality control standards.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions to overall business operations.
Person Specification:
Proven track record of success in a senior operations management role ideally within a manufacturing and distribution model business.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
Knowledge of world class operational strategies.
Knowledge of continuous improvement, implementing and driving a Kaizan approach.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
