Bacon Engineering is a well established Engineering business who are looking to recruit an Operations Director. This is a role where you will use your hands on knowledge of operations to drive output coupled with strategic know how to grow the business

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Leading the day-to-day operations of the business with full P&L and cashflow responsibility for a £5 million turnover, ensuring profitable and sustainable performance.
* Working closely with the Managing Director and Board to develop and deliver strategic growth plans and business objectives.
* Managing and developing a team of 4 direct reports and 23 indirect reports, fostering a high-performance, motivated workforce.
* Overseeing and continuously improving operational and manufacturing processes to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery of high-quality products.
* Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards across the business.
* Contributing to accurate costings of complex proposals, balancing profitability with customer satisfaction.
* Maintaining and growing the customer base, with a particular focus on opportunities within renewable energy and green manufacturing sectors.
* Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while ensuring the business is adequately resourced in people, materials, and equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
* Proven leadership with P&L responsibility and senior team management experience.
* Strategic thinker with a track record of growth, change leadership, and process improvement.
* Strong stakeholder and people management skills with a focus on team motivation and performance.
* Solid understanding of bespoke or precision engineering, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
* Commercially focused and results-driven, with experience in risk management and business development.
