Location: Bristol
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

About the RoleBuild Recruitment is representing a leading social housing contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to oversee repairs and maintenance contracts across the Bristol area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional looking to take the next step in their career, with responsibility for operational delivery, team leadership, commercial performance and P&L.
You’ll play a key role in leading the operational function, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivering excellent outcomes for residents.
The RoleAs Operations Manager, you will lead and develop operational teams responsible for the successful delivery of social housing repairs and maintenance services.
You will have responsibility for operational performance, resources, customer outcomes and commercial results, working closely with senior management, clients and supply-chain partners to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop operational teams delivering social housing repairs and maintenance.
Oversee service delivery, programmes, resources and operational performance.
Take ownership of P&L, budgets, costs and commercial performance.
Monitor KPIs, WIP, productivity, customer satisfaction and contractual targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Attend client and performance meetings, providing clear operational and commercial updates.
Coordinate operational teams and subcontractors to ensure effective service delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and customer outcomes.
Ensure Health & Safety, compliance and contractual standards are consistently maintained.
Support the continued development and growth of the operational function.What We're Looking For
Proven experience within social housing repairs, maintenance or property services.
Strong experience managing operational teams and resources.
A good understanding of contract performance, KPIs and commercial management.
Experience with P&L or budget responsibility.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and a focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes.
A proactive, organised and results-driven approach.
