Job Advert: Operations Manager – Commercial Laundry Location: Thatcham Salary: £27,000 per annum Holiday Allowance: 28 days per annum (including bank holidays) Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 16:00 The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of their client for an Operations Manager to join a busy and fast-paced commercial laundry facility based in Thatcham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to take control of daily operations, lead a hardworking team, and ensure high levels of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Role Overview: You will be responsible for overseeing the full laundry production process, managing team performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will bring strong leadership, operational awareness, and the ability to perform in a hands-on environment. Previous experience in laundry is a bonus but not essential. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and optimise all daily laundry operations * Ensure all KPIs are met throughout the production line * Lead structured daily operations meetings with the production team * Promote and enforce Health & Safety and cleanliness standards * Train, develop, and manage laundry staff * Prepare rotas and schedule staff based on operational needs * Maintain product and service quality standards * Respond to customer queries and resolve service issues * Oversee stock levels and manage supply orders * Plan maintenance schedules and minimise equipment downtime * Prepare and implement layouts for new client setups * Support budgeting processes and control operational costs * Deliver regular performance reports to the Operations Director * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients Requirements: * Previous experience in operations management (laundry or similar environment preferred) * Strong leadership and team-building skills * Excellent communication and problem-solving ability * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office * High attention to detail and a hands-on approach * Ability to work independently and take initiative * Physically fit and comfortable working in a production environment Why Join Us? * £27,000 salary * 28 days holiday including bank holidays * Company pension contribution * Supportive and friendly team environment * Key leadership role in a growing business * Varied and rewarding day-to-day responsibilities How to Apply: * To apply, please submit your CV or contact The Best Connection for more information.
