Operations Manager
We're delighted to be working on a retained basis with a fast-growing ecommerce business that has more than doubled its sales in the last 2 years!
They have beautifully crafted products, manufactured on site, and the company ethos is that of creativity, support and growth (to each other and to their customers/community).
As Operations Manager, you'll report directly to the founder and take the lead in designing and managing the systems and processes that will support their next stage of scale. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys building operational excellence from the ground up.
What you'll be doing:
Leading the end-to-end operations function including planning, procurement, production, fulfilment and customer service
Managing and mentoring a team of 8-10 across production, fulfilment and admin
Designing and implementing efficient, scalable systems and workflows
Using demand forecasting to plan stock, production and supply chain activities
Negotiating with suppliers and maintaining cost-effective partnerships
Overseeing logistics, dispatch, and third-party platform integrations
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (Health & Safety etc.)
Planning for future growth, including layout and resourcing for a new facilityAbout you:
Experienced in operations within a small product-led or seasonal business
A supportive, proactive people manager with a hands-on leadership approach
Strong with systems and tools (MRP, ecommerce, Xero etc)
Commercially minded - confident with margins, numbers and cost-saving strategies
Calm, pragmatic, and solutions-focused under pressure
Excited about shaping and improving operational infrastructure in a scaling businessWhat's on offer:
£55,000-£60,000 depending on experience
