About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager from a facilities management or industrial cleaning background to oversee the delivery of cleaning services across a large industrial site in Belfast.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring service excellence, driving performance standards, maintaining client satisfaction, and leading a team delivering high-quality soft services within a busy, safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead and manage daily operations for cleaning and soft services across a large industrial or manufacturing site.
*
Oversee site-based cleaning teams, ensuring consistent delivery of high standards.
*
Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the key point of contact for all operational matters.
*
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, risk assessments, and compliance processes in line with H&S requirements.
*
Drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
*
Manage budgets, staffing levels, and performance targets effectively.
*
Support mobilisation and transition of new contracts or service changes when required.
*
Ensure full compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
About You
*
Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Site Manager, or Contract Manager within Facilities Management, Industrial Cleaning, or Manufacturing Environments.
*
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing large or multi-site teams.
*
Sound understanding of health & safety and quality management systems.
*
Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
*
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
*
Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Desirable Experience
*
Previous experience managing cleaning operations in factories, manufacturing plants, or other industrial environments.
*
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
*
BICSc or similar cleaning industry accreditation.
