Operations Manager / Responsible Individual – Children’s Residential Services Location: Telford Salary: £70,000 per annum Contract: Full-Time, Permanent About the Organisation: Our client is a reputable and growing provider of high-quality children’s residential care for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. They currently operate two established homes and are preparing to open their third home shortly. Their mission is to create safe, nurturing, and supportive environments where children and young people with additional needs can thrive and achieve positive outcomes. The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager / Responsible Individual to join the leadership team. This pivotal role involves overseeing multiple residential services, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and driving high standards of care and operational excellence for children with learning disabilities. As the Responsible Individual, you will have overall accountability for the organisation’s children’s homes, providing strategic leadership, ensuring safeguarding practices are embedded, and supporting the development and growth of the services. Key Responsibilities: * Provide strong leadership across the organisation’s children’s residential services. * Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and deliver outstanding outcomes. * Oversee the operational performance and quality standards of existing homes and upcoming developments. * Drive continuous improvement in practice, safeguarding, and service delivery. * Recruit, support, and develop Registered Managers and their teams. * Manage budgets effectively and ensure financial sustainability. * Build positive relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and regulators. Requirements: * Previous experience as a Responsible Individual or multi-site manager within children’s residential care – Essential. * Strong understanding of supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs. * Proven track record of achieving compliance and outstanding Ofsted ratings. * In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks for children’s homes. * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential. * Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * Commitment to delivering exceptional care and positive outcomes for young people.
