Roles & Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day team management of the Inspection sections.
* Plan and schedule workload in line with the site production schedule.
* Responsible for the development and maintenance of strong team morale and team working.
* Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
* Train, motivate and performance manage staff; complete performance reviews, identify training and development opportunities for team members.
* Manage first level discipline and grievance issues for team members.
* Maintain the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenanceComply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
* Maintain and monitor stock levels of machine shop consumables.
* Co-ordinate the efficient use and organisation of resources and equipment to meet the production schedule.
* Plan for and support the implementation of new product development initiatives.
* Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards.
* Ensure component work is undertaken in accordance with procedures.
* Liaise with the customer support team
Experience & Competencies:
* Experience within the Engineering Industry
* Team leadership experience within a production workshop environment
* Computer literate
* An ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Customer focused and able to build and maintain robust customer relationships.
* Able to manage and develop a team in a demanding, customer focused working environment.
* An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills; capable of communicating accurate and concise information at all levels.
* Understanding and implementation of lean process principles and their applications
* Results orientated; able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
