Operative - Wetrooms Salary: £27,500 – £32,000 (subject to experience) Hours: Flexible to suit site location – 40 to 48 hours per week Location: Applicants should ideally live within 30 minutes of the main operating area. Benefits 25 days annual leave plus 8 UK bank holidays Auto-enrolment pension scheme Free parking Eligibility for a company-wide bonus scheme Role Overview The Supervised Operative will be responsible for the installation of wetroom and waterproofing systems to a high standard across construction projects in London and the South East of England. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly as part of a skilled and safety-conscious team. Main Responsibilities Install tilebacker boards, drainage systems, shower floor build-ups, and waterproofing membranes in bathrooms and leisure/wellness environments. Develop a strong understanding of relevant products and installation processes. Deliver high-quality workmanship and a professional service to clients. Attend required training and induction sessions. Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring work is completed in line with risk assessments and method statements, and correct PPE is always used. Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional approach to work and personal appearance. Take responsibility for company-issued items such as vehicles, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are well maintained. Communicate effectively with other operatives and supervisors. Complete all required paperwork and administrative documents accurately. Comply with all relevant site, vehicle, driving, and health & safety regulations. Additional Responsibilities Maintain clear and prompt communication with supervisors and colleagues. Support supervisors to ensure projects run smoothly and assist with problem-solving when required. Team Responsibilities Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment. Attend relevant training sessions and courses. Demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and professional behaviour at all times. Experience & Skills Full UK driving licence (essential) Previous experience preferred but not essential Conscientious and self-aware approach to work Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities Confidence in dealing with customers and suppliers Good understanding of construction practices Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliable and punctual Personal Attributes Professionalism and positive personal presence Attention to detail and accuracy Polite and respectful manner Flexible approach to working hours and locations
