Weighbridge Operator - Cardiff - Immediate Start
Our client, a well-established engineering company based in Cardiff, is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to join their team on an ongoing contract basis, starting ASAP.
About the Role
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Ongoing
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 nights, 2 days, 4 off)
Hourly Rate: £12.21As a Weighbridge Operator, you'll be the key point of contact for all logistics entering and leaving the site. Your role will involve:
Accurately weighing vehicles (lorries/trains) and verifying load weights
Issuing relevant documentation (delivery notes, waste management forms, scrap transaction records)
Ensuring drivers comply with site safety rules and wear appropriate PPE
Communicating effectively with drivers and internal teams, including planning and loading departments
Using internal systems and Microsoft Office to maintain accurate records
Supporting customer requirements and internal coordinationYou'll be joining a leading UK manufacturer and recycler of steel products, committed to sustainability and achieving net zero carbon by 2030.
About You
No prior experience required - full training provided
Strong communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable using Microsoft Office
