About this Position:
Contract opportunity for an Optical Simulation Engineer to support the development of virtual vehicle and lighting component models. Role involves simulation, analysis, reporting, and presenting lighting behaviour within vehicle environments.
Job Responsibilities:
*
Create and run light and optical simulations using CATIA and Ansys Speos
*
Analyse simulation data and compile detailed reports and presentations
*
Support cross-functional teams with visual ergonomics and lighting strategies
*
Maintain simulation libraries, techniques, and documentation
*
Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to ensure simulation accuracy
Experience Required:
*
Degree in Physics or Engineering with over 10 years’ experience in automotive light simulation
*
Strong knowledge of optical design, visual ergonomics, and human vision
*
Proficient in CATIA v5, Ansys Speos, Teamcenter, Enovia PLM, and MS Office
*
Understanding of electrical systems, CAN/LIN networks, and materials interaction with light
*
Experience delivering end-to-end simulation solutions and working in cross-functional environments
