Role: Support Worker - Bank and Temp Roles
Pay rate: GBP20.00-GBP25.00 per hour
Location: Bury
Hours: Short hours (3-6 hours per shift). Flexible times.
Prospero Health & Social Care are currently recruiting for outreach support workers across Manchester and greater Manchester. These roles will be to provide community outreach to young people within these areas on a bank and temporary basis.
You will take lead of the young person following their likes and interests, going out into the community doing activities and visiting different places. You will be responsible for:
· Transporting the young person to and from activity or destination (car or public transport)
· Supervising and engaging with the young person throughout activities
· Managing the budget given and paying for activities and food/drinks out of this.
· Activity planning ahead of time for and with the young person and making sure activities are suitable and available.
· Liaising and working with the family of the young person, building positive professional relationships.
· Written observations
The young people may be experiencing crisis or may be vulnerable. You may be working with young people with:
· ADHD/Autism
· Challenging Behaviour
· Low mental health
· Experiencing crisis or breakdown in family home.
Criteria for this position:
· Happy to work short hour shifts.
· Full right to work in the UK - no sponsorship or skilled visas.
· Qualification in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care preferred.
· Must have previous experience in a similar role with 1 year minimum UK experience.
· Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
· References covering the last 3 years of employment.
· Drivers License with Business insurance - Preferred but not essential.
