Job Description
Spencer Clarke Group are looking to recruit an experienced ACA/ACCA Qualified Outsourcing Manager (Accounts) to be based in our clients Manchester central office. This is a fantastic foot in the door to an amazing Top 15 firm, and you will become part of a fast-growing and dynamic Outsourcing Team.
You will be dealing predominantly with owner managed businesses and clients in the private wealth and estates sector.
This is a client facing, fast paced role which includes advisory elements and you will often be dealing with high-net worth clients. The work will be varied and ranges from typical year end compliance through to ad-hoc advisory and project work, and with a particular focus on delivering outsourcing services.
We are looking for someone with lots of ambition and enthusiasm, with a positive attitude to their work. This role requires someone who is able to delegate tasks and take control of their own workload.
You will have responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients that operate in a range of sectors and the role would include (but is not limited to):
Supervising the coaching and development of qualified staff and trainees within the Outsourcing Team.
Working with a client base that will be predominantly limited companies, partnerships and limited liability partnerships, but also with some sole traders, trusts and smaller private charities.
Financial management.
Supervising the preparation of year-end financial statements.
High level reviews of management accounts and VAT returns.
Leading a team on large outsourcing projects within the firm.
Work planning and annual timetabling, ensuring that internal timetables are met by the junior members of the team.
Taking ownership of ad-hoc advisory projects.
Liaising with Tax and Audit teams.
Building and maintaining client relationships.
What do we require from you?
You will need to have experience of management, as you will be managing your own portfolio whilst also being responsible for reviewing the work of more junior tax staff.
You will need to be experienced in the delivery and management of personal tax compliance services.
Outsourcing experience is ideal.

A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (core hours are 10-4).

Discretionary bonus paid annually from Assistant Manager level upwards.
