Expire in: 25 days
I am on the lookout for a super-organised, proactive, and down-to-earth Personal Assistant to support a Managing Director for an innovative manufacturing organisation based in the Tameside area. This role is perfect for someone who’s calm under pressure, loves getting stuck in, and knows how to keep things moving behind the scenes.
You'll be right at the heart of things, helping the MD stay on top of a busy day, juggling meetings, managing diaries, and making sure projects stay on track. No two days are the same, so you’ll need to be flexible, switched on, and ready to roll with whatever comes your way.
What I am looking for:
Someone naturally organised with an eye for detail and great communication skills.
Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and open to learning new tools—including AI.
A curious, tech-friendly, can-do person who enjoys solving problems and finding better ways of doing things.
Someone who takes ownership, stays one step ahead, and knows how to bring a bit of calm when things get hectic.
Honest, dependable, and always acts with integrity.
Ideally you will have:
Experience in business support or operations.
An interest in systems, automation, or improving how things are done.
The confidence to ask questions and suggest new ideas.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing the MD’s diary, inbox, travel, and to-do list, keeping everything ticking over smoothly.
Helping with projects, reports, presentations, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Coordinating between teams, suppliers, and partners to keep everything running like clockwork.
Taking initiative, whether it’s making decisions when the MD’s tied up or spotting ways we could work smarter.
Being that go-to person people can rely on when things need sorting.
What Good Looks Like:
The MD’s day runs like clockwork, and things get done without drama.
Meetings happen on time, actions get followed up, and projects keep moving.
You’re seen as reliable, calm, and steady, someone who gets things sorted.
Even on busy days, you help bring a sense of order and calm to the team.
You end the day knowing you’ve made a real difference, even if it’s behind the scenes.
Working Hours & Flexibility:
Flexible around start and finish times, with core office hours of 09:30–15:30.
You’ll spend most of your time in the office to start with, working closely with the MD both onsite, at home offices, and sometimes on the road.
What’s in It for You:
Pension scheme
Health Cash Plan
Free onsite parking
Lovely newly refurbished office and meeting spaces
Colleague discount
Breakfast, fresh fruit, and great coffee on us
Your birthday off
Volunteer day to give back to causes you care about
Regular staff events and socials
