Packing Line Operative - Night Shift
£12.62 per hour | Temp to Perm | Outskirts of Colchester

We are recruiting for a Night Shift Production Line Operative on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer located just outside Colchester, Essex. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent role, offering stability and progression within the food production industry.
About the Role:
This is a temporary-to-permanent position, ideal for someone seeking consistent night shifts and long-term employment. While prior experience in a Manufacturing and Production or factory environment is beneficial, full training will be provided. A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
Main Duties of the Packing Line Operative:
Supporting the production process at various stages including loading, monitoring, and packing
Conducting visual inspection and grading of raw materials
Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
Complying with food safety and hygiene standards
Palletising and final packing of finished products
Assisting with general production tasks as neededCandidate Requirements for the Packing Line Operative:
Experience in a production, manufacturing, or FMCG environment is desirable
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability
Good communication and attention to detail
Must have own transport and be able to commute to the site
Willing to work occasional overtime when requiredShift Pattern & Pay:
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: £12.62 per hour
Optional weekend overtime available on Saturday or Sunday, 7:00 PM - 2:00 AM (enhanced rate applies)
