Our well-established award-winning client is seeking a Packing manager to join and manage a team. You will be responsible for shift management, ensuring team leaders, colleagues and activities within the department are managed effectively and efficiently.
Duties include:
* Ensure the control and plan of employees across all production/packing areas.
* Ensure the daily start-up Safety checks are maintained and staff have correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Responsible for the effective running of the department, ensuring communication between functions and department areas is effective.
* Ensure Product quality is maintained in accordance with quality standards.
* Ensure the Team Leaders prepare the department, equipment, and staff, to be ready and available for the start of each shift and all associated change overs.
* Responsible for ensuring all data information is accurate and completed on time.
To be considered for the Packing Manager role candidates must have:
* Food manufacturing and quality and compliance knowledge essential.
* Previous management experience within a manufacturing industry.
* Excellent people management and communication skills
* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (within the last 12 months)
* Intermediate IT skills including Excel and Word to produce daily production reports.
