Job Description
Apply today to work as a Packaging Operative for client which deals with packing dairy products, including yogurts, by mixing ingredients, processing, and packaging for sale to retailers and consumers.
Staffline is recruting Packaging Operatives in Telford.
The rate of pay is £13.28 per hour.
This is a full-time role working fixed shifts 4 on 4 off, and the hours of work are:
7:30am to 7:30pm
Your Time at Work
As a Packaging Operative you will be working in a chilled environment, packing and repacking chilled items such as yoghurts.
Key responsiblities:
- Knowledge of working in cold storage environments
- Food safety and hygiene practices in retail/food service
- Repacking and portioning of food items
- Manual handling and safe lifting techniques
- Efficiency in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and packaging
- Inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Equipment operation relevant to cold rooms (e.g., pallet jacks, trolleys)
- Team collaboration in a high-pressure setting
- Time management and multitasking
- Health and safety compliance and incident reporting
- Temperature monitoring and quality control
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment
- Basic knowledge of allergen handling and cross-contamination prevention
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be physically fit and able to do very repetitive work including: lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Applicants will have experience working in a chilled environment and repacking food items in a fast-paced setting.
