Paediatric Clinical Lead – Birmingham & Coventry (Midlands)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year (DOE) + Mileage (45p/mile)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (Hybrid & Flexible)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Are you an experienced Paediatric Nurse looking to step up into leadership? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading UK complex care provider as a Paediatric Clinical Lead across the Birmingham and Coventry areas.
As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, you’ll play a vital role in delivering and overseeing safe, high-quality care to children and families in the community. You’ll mentor healthcare teams, lead clinical governance, and ensure every care package meets the highest standards of person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage paediatric complex-care packages, completing assessments, risk planning, and reviews as part of your Paediatric Clinical Lead role.
Conduct new client assessments and chair clinical or MDT meetings to support joined-up care delivery.
Undertake clinical audits and governance reviews to maintain compliance with CQC and company standards.
Provide mentorship, supervision, and competency sign-offs for nurses and care staff.
Train and develop teams in specialist paediatric procedures including tracheostomy, ventilation, suctioning, and enteral feeding.
Collaborate with families, ICBs, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, effective care.
Offer clinical leadership and guidance during both routine and emergency situations.
Package & Benefits
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Hybrid & flexible Monday–Friday working pattern
Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile

Requirements
Registered Children’s Nurse (RNC / RSCN) with valid NMC registration – essential.
Background in ICU, HDU, or community-based paediatric complex care.
Strong leadership, training, and governance experience suited to a Paediatric Clinical Lead position.
Excellent communication, clinical judgement, and problem-solving skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
