Paediatric Clinical Lead – Gloucestershire
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Mileage
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (Flexible & Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Are you a Registered Nurse looking to step into a leadership role? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading healthcare provider as a Paediatric Clinical Lead, supporting children and young people with complex health needs across Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset and Avon.
This role combines clinical leadership, flexible working, and regional travel, giving you the chance to shape standards of care while maintaining a great work–life balance.
As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, you’ll oversee care packages in the community, support and develop nurses, and ensure safe, high-quality care delivery. You’ll be joining a supportive organisation that invests in its people and values patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex paediatric care packages including assessments, planning, and reviews.
Conduct new client assessments and chair monthly clinical team meetings.
Perform clinical audits and medication checks to maintain best practice.
Provide supervision, mentorship and competency sign-off for Registered Nurses.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver joined-up care.
Deliver emergency and on-call clinical support when needed.
Train care staff in specialist equipment and personal care.
Keep skills up to date through continuous professional development.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (Paediatric or Adult) with valid NMC PIN.
Strong background in complex care (tracheostomy, ventilation, spinal or brain injuries).
Community or home care experience with paediatric and/or adult patients.
Minimum 2 years in complex care or community nursing.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).
Package & Benefits
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year

Mileage reimbursement for travel across the region
