Job Summary:
We're looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a semi-independent accommodation service for young people aged 16-18. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable young people as they transition to independence. You'll manage a team, oversee care plans, ensure safeguarding, and collaborate with external agencies to provide the best support for our young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the service, ensuring high-quality care for young people transitioning to adulthood.
Develop and implement care plans, supporting young people's educational, emotional, and practical needs.
Ensure all safeguarding practices are followed, working with external agencies when necessary.
Manage and support a team, providing guidance and development opportunities.
Maintain accurate records and reports for statutory reviews and inspections.
Skills & Experience:
2+ years in a managerial role in a similar setting (supported living, residential care, etc.).
Experience working with young people aged 16-18, with knowledge of relevant legislation (Children Act, Care Leavers Act).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Enhanced DBS check required.

Leadership Skills:

Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children Act 1989, Care Leavers Act, Safeguarding guidelines) and understanding of the transition from care to independent living.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies.
Organisational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment
