Paint Improver
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £12 - 14 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | 42.5 hours per week
Contract: Full-time | Permanent
The Opportunity We’re looking for a dedicated Paint Improver to join a high-performing accident repair team at a well-established and growing group in the bodyshop industry. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring vehicles are presented to the highest standard before leaving site—through light preparation, polishing, and rectification of minor paintwork defects.
If you take pride in precision, have solid experience prepping or polishing vehicles, and enjoy being part of a tight-knit workshop team—this one’s for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Prepping vehicle panels and parts ready for paint
Sanding surfaces using various paper grades
Masking, priming, and correcting imperfections in fresh paint
Light paintwork repairs and polishing tasks
Final quality inspections of refinished work
Identifying and resolving dirt inclusions or minor defects
Minimising contamination during paint prep stages
Ensuring PPE is worn and checked regularly
What You’ll Need
Previous experience prepping and/or polishing vehicles
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot imperfections
Organised, with good time management
Customer-focused and quality-driven attitude
Experience working to workshop targets and deadlines
