Based: Kent
Level 1: £26,492.28 | Level 2: £30,105.72
Full-Time: Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shifts: Choice of two shifts
* 6.30 – 15.30 or 7.30 – 16.30 (Mon to Thur)
* 6.30 – 11.30 or 7.30 – 12.30 (Friday)
A great opportunity for a Paint Prepper to join a thriving manufacturing environment, supporting the surface preparation of components prior to wet painting. This role suits someone with excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work hands-on with various tools and processes.
As a Paint Prepper, your main responsibilities will include:
* Preparing fabricated parts by drilling, fettling, filling, sanding, sealing, masking, and degreasing
* Operating power tools and shot blasting equipment (training provided)
* Handling and positioning components for priming, painting, and transfer
* Ensuring components meet cleanliness and preparation standards
* Maintaining clean workstations and performing basic preventative maintenance
* Following all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements
* Supporting lean initiatives and 5S housekeeping routines
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Strong attention to detail with visual inspection capability
* Confident using power tools and handling metal components
* Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
* Excellent communication and teamworking skills
* Ability to work independently and follow set processes
* A proactive approach to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
