PAINT SHOP FOREMAN
Paint Shop Foreman Details
Basic Salary: up to £45,000 (DOE)
Working Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri
Location: Northampton
Skilled & experienced Paint Shop Foreman required for full time vacancy.
For this Paint Shop Foreman role you will be responsible for overseeing the paint department, ensuring high quality finishes, efficient workflow, and maintaining health & safety standards within a busy bodyshop environment.
Responsibilities of a Paint Shop Foreman:
· Oversee daily operations within the paint shop, managing workload and productivity
· Supervise and support Paint Sprayers and Preppers to ensure work is completed to a high standard
· Ensure all vehicles are prepared and painted in line with manufacturer and company standards
· Mix and check paint to ensure accurate colour matching
· Carry out quality control checks on completed work, ensuring no defects
· Maintain health & safety procedures and ensure compliance within the workshop
· Liaise with management and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
Skills and Qualifications of a Paint Shop Foreman:
· The ideal applicant will have strong leadership experience within a bodyshop paint department
· You will be a highly skilled Vehicle Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician with experience stepping into or currently in a supervisory role
· Must have extensive knowledge of water-based paints and modern repair techniques
· You will work to a high standard and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills
· City & Guilds qualification or equivalent is preferred
