Job Description
Job Title: Paint Sprayer
Location: Ballymena, County Antrim
Duration: Permanent or TTP
Hours: 34.5 hours per week (continental shift pattern)
Pay Rate: £16.42 per hour plus 25% shift premium (PAYE)
We are currently recruiting experienced Paint Sprayers to prep and spray the exterior of new electric buses in Ballymena. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established operation on an ongoing contract with structured shifts and competitive pay.
Working Hours:
3 week rotating continental shift pattern (34.5 hours per week):
* Week 1: Monday to Wednesday | 06:00 - 18:00
* Week 2: Monday to Wednesday | 18:00 - 06:00
* Week 3: Thursday to Saturday | 06:00 - 18:00
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Marking out and spray painting basecoat and direct gloss finishes.
* Carrying out touch ups and minor paint repairs prior to vehicle sign off and delivery.
* Assisting with paint preparation, including marking up vehicles before painting.
* Safe operation of plant, equipment and hand tools used in paint preparation and spraying.
* Adhering to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
* Undertaking training or retraining as required.
* Supporting the department with any additional duties as needed.
Requirements:
* Time served Paint Sprayer or a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience.
* Strong experience in spray painting with solid preparation knowledge.
* Background in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry.
* Knowledge of clear over base and 2 pack paint systems.
* Ability to carry out minor dent repairs and spot paint repairs.
* Experience using templates and marking out vehicles.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
* Willingness to undertake training when required.
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including shift work and potential overtime.
