Job Description
MERITUS are recruiting for a Paint Sprayer to join our client within the Aviation sector in a permanent position from their site in Blackwood.
PAINT SPRAYER - £28,000 PER ANNUM - PERMANENT - BLACKWOOD, WALES - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Key Responsibilities:
Calculate and mix ratios for sealants, fillers, and paint.
Apply primer, topcoat, and spray coatings to aircraft parts in compliance with specifications.
Perform straight masking operations.
Carry out minor filling tasks to enhance the cosmetic finish of parts.
Prepare and rub down surfaces prior to painting.
Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Contribute to projects and support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Adapt to business needs, including working various shift patterns as required.
Learn and follow scope-of-work documentation procedures and develop knowledge of assigned parts within the evaluation period.
Take responsibility for the quality and completion of own work.
Work safely to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and ensure both product airworthiness and accuracy of documentation and parts control.
Position Requirements:
Previous experience in aircraft painting within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret manufacturer specifications, overhaul manuals, and part-specific planning.
Ability to accurately document work performed.
Strong arithmetic and English (reading and writing) skills, with the ability to follow detailed written instructions and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Competent computer skills, including accessing repair documentation online and using in-house production applicationsBefore You Apply
