Multi-Skilled Painter & Decorator
Location: Various sites across Bury
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay: £20.00 - £23.00
Contract: Ongoing / Full-time
We’re looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join the Bury Council Direct Works team, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment work across council homes and public buildings.
Main Duties:
*
All aspects of painting and decorating (responsive & planned repairs, voids, damp, disrepair).
*
Use of PDA/iPad to record jobs and updates.
*
Safe use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and council vehicles.
*
Adhering to health & safety and recycling procedures.
*
Providing excellent customer service to tenants and the public.
*
Occasional participation in the out-of-hours rota.
Requirements:
✅ Time-served Painter & Decorator apprenticeship or equivalent experience
✅ Experience in maintenance or social housing work
✅ Multi-skilled background (basic joinery/plastering an advantage)
✅ Full UK driving licence
✅ CSCS card desirable
