Job Description
Painter and Decorator – Social Housing
Location: Clapton, E5 0HL
Rate: £20.00 – £23.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
We are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join a social housing team based in Clapton. This is a static role at one fixed location — no travelling between sites and no van required.
Role Responsibilities:
Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating, including filling, sanding and priming
Applying paint, wallpaper and other finishes to a high standard
Carrying out minor repairs and touch-ups where needed
Maintaining a tidy work area and adhering to health and safety guidelines
Providing a professional and polite service to residents
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator (social housing experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail and a high-quality finish
Own tools, brushes, rollers and PPE
Ability to work independently on a fixed site
