Job Description
SYR are looking for an experienced Painter to join the team for a great client of ours! We have an exciting opportunity with an Innovative Maritime Company in Holland!
They combine decades of engineering expertise, cutting-edge technologies & a unique manufacturing approach to excel in both cruising and racing domains.
This role is essential in ensuring high-quality painting and finishing on marine vessels and equipment.
You will be responsible for leading spray-painting tasks, maintaining high craftsmanship standards, and ensuring all work is done to a high standard.
You will need to have experience preparing GRP panels for painting on and off the boat. You will need to be able to perform blow ins on painted surfaces. You will be working in shipyards so will need to be able to work independently and efficiently on the project managing the project from start to finish
Key Responsibilities
* Perform professional spray-painting and finishing on marine vessels and equipment.
* Select and apply appropriate marine paints and coatings for different surfaces.
* Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and industry regulations.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
* Conduct routine maintenance of spray-painting tools and equipment.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior painters when necessary.
Requirements
✅ Proven experience in marine spray-painting and finishing.
✅ Strong knowledge of marine paints, coatings, and application techniques.
✅ Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to marine painting.
✅ Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
✅ Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
✅ Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus.
