Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our Repairs and Maintenance Team.
In this role, you’ll carry out all types of repairs, maintenance, and painting work across Council-owned, private, tenanted, and empty properties, as well as other Authority buildings. You’ll diagnose and complete remedial works, organise materials, and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.
* Location: Ashfield District Council
* Hours: 37 per week
* Contract: 6 month+
* Driver’s Licence: Essential
You’ll also be expected to undertake repairs in other trade areas where competent, assist with stocktaking, and operate vehicles and equipment used for Stores operations (including Forklift Trucks and Telescopic Handlers).
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a full UK driving licence
* Has proven experience in painting and general property maintenance
* Works well both independently and as part of a team
* Takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service
* Maintains a clean, tidy, and safe work environment at all times
You’ll play an important role in helping us keep our properties in great condition while providing a positive experience for our tenants and community.
