Job Opportunity: Painter (Multi-Skilled Preferred)
Location: Coalville
Pay: £18 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Painter to join the Housing Asset Management Team at North West Leicestershire area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to carry out essential repairs, maintenance, and improvement works across a variety of council-owned properties.
Preference will be given to multi-skilled candidates with demonstrable experience across additional trades. Key Responsibilities
Carry out all painting and decorating tasks to a high standard, following manufacturer guidelines and regulations.
Complete surveys to determine the scope of work and required materials.
Record time, materials, and progress using a PDA/smartphone device.
Work effectively with the Asset Management Support Team to ensure jobs are scheduled and delivered on time.
Maintain vehicle stock levels to support a “Right First Time” approach.
Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and best practices on-site. What We’re Looking For
NVQ/City & Guilds in Painting or 5+ years demonstrable time-served experience.
Full UK driving licence (essential – company vehicle provided).
Post-apprenticeship experience in the painting trade (or equivalent time-served).
Eligibility to work in the UK. Additional Notes
Multi-skilled candidates will be prioritised (e.g., those also competent in basic joinery, plastering, or general repairs).
Applicants must be able to complete reports, records, and certificates as required.
