Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Palletised Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, movement, and storage of palletised goods, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * Load and unload palletised goods from vehicles using appropriate handling equipment.

  * Move, stack, and store pallets safely within designated warehouse locations.

  * Pick, wrap, label, and prepare palletised orders for dispatch.

  * Operate warehouse equipment such as pump trucks, pallet trucks, and forklifts (where licensed).

  * Carry out stock checks and support inventory control activities.

  * Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.

  * Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.

  * Follow all health & safety, manual handling, and warehouse procedures.

  * Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and deadlines.

Skills & Experience Required

  * Proven experience working in a palletised warehouse environment.

  * Good understanding of warehouse processes and safe manual handling techniques.

  * Forklift licence (Counterbalance / Reach / Flexi) – desirable but not essential.

  * Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  * Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for warehouse duties.

Desirable

  * Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.

  * Experience working in fast-paced or high-volume distribution environments
