Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Responsibilities
* Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for bodywork repairs.
* Perform heavy lifting as required to handle vehicle components.
* Weld and assemble parts as needed to restore structural integrity.
* Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
* Follow safety protocols while working in the workshop environment.
* Communicate with customers regarding repair processes and timelines.
* Keep accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair.
* Familiarity with reading schematics related to vehicle bodywork.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent customer service skills, ensuring clear communication with clients.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
