Job Description
Control Panel Wireperson
Location: Bolton
Salary: Competitive (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Control Panel Wireperson to join a forward-thinking engineering and manufacturing business specialising in advanced automation and packaging systems.
This is a hands-on position offering the chance to help establish and develop a new control panel department within a growing company that values innovation, quality, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and wire electrical control panels and switchgear from technical drawings and schematics
*
Carry out electrical wiring, including PLCs, stepper motors, and safety circuits
*
Perform point-to-point testing, quality checks, and mechanical fitting
*
Work collaboratively with production and project teams to ensure smooth workflow
*
Assist with managing inventory and electrical components for panel builds
*
Occasional site-based installation and commissioning work where required
Requirements:
*
Level 3 Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent apprenticeship)
*
Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in control panel wiring or a similar electrical assembly role
*
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
*
Working knowledge of PLCs and safety circuits (advantageous)
*
Confident using hand and power tools safely and effectively
*
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
*
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach
*
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
