Job Description
Job Title: Panel Wirer - Electrical Assembly Technician
Location: Droitwich Spa, WR9
Salary: £25 – 27,000 pa (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Daytime, Monday to Friday, 38 hpw: (7.30am-4.15pm M-Th / 12.30pm Friday)
SourceCo Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an established global manufacturer of multi-industry combustion equipment in their search for an Electrical Assembly Technician (/Panel Wirer) to join a friendly and inclusive manufacturing team at their base in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.
Candidate
Requirements:
* Interest and aptitude for electrical engineering
* Ability to read and work from electrical drawings & schematics
* Excellent attention to detail
* Commitment and dependability
* Appetite to learn and develop
* Adaptability to be cross-trained
Preferred knowledge/experience:
* Previous panel wiring, soldering, crimping / electrical assembly experience, or similar
* Industrial machinery / equipment knowledge (IE: motors / contactors / overloads / pumps / fans).
* Faultfinding capability (either in a test role or site experience).
* Electrical experience
* Basic component functionality knowledge IE: pressure switches / transducers / VSD / potentiometers / thermostats / heaters
* Varying voltages / frequencies awareness
* Gas / Oil / Fuel experience would be helpful (maybe generators / CHP / diesel engines).
* Working from schematic panel wiring drawings
Role
* Planning of jobs according to production schedule and component availability
* Picking components from comprehensive, organised stores department and updating MRP
* Assembling equipment, or wiring of control panels, following technical instructions with a high degree of accuracy
* Testing of finished product in accordance with production schedule, working to SOPS and QC control
