About the role
We are seeking a Paraplanner to support Financial Planners in providing high-quality advice to clients. This role involves preparing suitability reports, conducting research, ensuring compliance, and helping to develop tailored financial strategies based on client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed, compliant suitability reports and recommendations
* Conduct technical research across investments, pensions, tax planning, and protection products
* Liaise with clients and product providers to gather relevant information
* Analyse client fact finds, risk profiles, and financial objectives
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial plans
* Maintain accurate records on back-office systems.
* Keep up to date with financial products, legislation, and industry trends
* Work closely with advisers to ensure client needs are met promptly and effectively
* Support with annual reviews and ongoing client servicing
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a paraplanning or similar role
* Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial planning software
Desirable:
* Progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status
* Experience with Transact.
* Familiarity with FCA compliance requirements
