Job Description
I'm supporting a well-established professional business to recruit a Part-Time Credit Controller to join their internal support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible part-time work – either around school hours or across three set days per week.
The business has a friendly and professional team, and they’re looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is confident managing a busy invoicing process, and wants to be part of a supportive environment.
About the Role:
This isn’t a typical ledger-focused position. The business works with a high volume of clients across various payment terms – some pay in advance, others in arrears. The accounts are maintained by a capable bookkeeper, so your role will focus on:
• Implementing and processing around 150 invoices per week (via Xero)
• Allocating incoming bank payments
• Chasing outstanding payments by phone and email
• Actively managing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and ensuring cash flow is maintained
• Keeping internal systems and records up to date
What They’re Looking For:
• Experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
• Someone confident with both administrative and credit control duties
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• You must have the right to work in the UK – this role does not offer sponsorship
