Job Title: Finance Assistant
Salary: £26,000 (Full time equivalent)
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Contract: Permanent, Part- Time 20 -25 hours per week (flexibility around days and times)
What you’ll be doing as a Finance Assistant:
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact— You won’t just be another cog in the wheel – you’ll be trusted with responsibility, encouraged to share ideas, and supported with professional training to help you grow.
* Preparing and issuing invoices, reconciling accounts, and keeping financial records accurate and up to date
* Setup new customers on Sage 50, running credit checks, and managing queries from both clients and suppliers
* Respond to all emails in the Accounts email account promptly
* Carrying out daily bank reconciliations
* Assisting with stock figures, reconciliations, and supporting year-end processes
* Update daily sales figures
What we are looking for:
* Confident using Sage 50 and have good Excel skills
* Have great numerical ability and a sharp eye for detail
* Ability to organise your workload effectively and maintain high standards under pressure
* Curious, adaptable, and open to learning new skills
* Confident communication skills at all levels
* Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
