Part-time Management Accountant | Barnsley | £50k-£60k FTE
Delighted to be support a well-established, private equity-backed business in Barnsley who is looking to appoint a Part-Time Management Accountant to support its finance function on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role offering genuine flexibility around working hours and days, ideal for someone looking to maintain professional impact while balancing other commitments.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Budgeting and forecasting across departments
Financial reporting and variance analysis
Payroll oversight and coordination
Credit control and cash flow monitoring
Ownership of P&L and balance sheet
Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc analysis and reporting
Experience required:
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong experience in management accounting, ideally within an SME
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
Commercially aware, with the ability to interpret financial data and support decision-making
Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems
Available to work 2–3 days per week, with a minimum of 16 hours
