Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Part Time Qualified Social Worker in the Adoption Team for 15.5 hours per week within Southend. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:
Assess, recruit, and prepare prospective adoptive parents.
Support the matching and placement of children with approved adopters.
Provide guidance and support to children and families throughout the adoption journey.
Facilitate support groups and training for adopters.
Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for agency panels and courts.
Champion permanence planning and ensure child safeguarding.
Liaise with various agencies and professionals to support adopted children and their families.
Offer post-adoption support, including accessing therapeutic services
The ideal candidate will have:
Social Work England registration
Eligibility to work in the UK
Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
