Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Teacher of Science, you will:
*
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
*
Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and passion for scientific principles and methodologies across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
*
Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering an inquiry-based approach.
*
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and contributing to student reports.
*
Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources.
*
Participate in and, where appropriate, lead extracurricular science activities, enriching the learning experience for students (pro-rata).
*
Act as a form tutor (pro-rata) and contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.
What We're Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in a Science discipline.
*
Proven experience teaching Science successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential.
*
A genuine passion for science and a commitment to inspiring young scientists.
*
Excellent subject knowledge across the science curriculum, with the ability to teach all three sciences effectively at Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
*
A dynamic, adaptable, and innovative teaching style.
*
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment.
*
A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
