Job Title: Part-Time SEN Mentor

Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

About the Role:
As an SEN Mentor, you will play a vital role in building positive relationships with students who require additional support due to a variety of learning and behavioural needs. You will work closely with pupils to promote confidence, resilience, and independence through tailored one-to-one mentoring and small group sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer emotional, behavioural, and academic support to pupils with SEND.
Establish trust and rapport with students, acting as a consistent and positive role model.
Implement strategies to support students in managing anxiety, behaviour, and social interaction.
Support classroom activities in collaboration with teaching staff and SEN professionals.
Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of growth and ongoing need.
Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Job Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate vulnerable learners.
A calm, consistent, and supportive approach to managing challenging situations.
Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to pupil welfare.
A relevant qualification in education, mentoring, or youth work is advantageous.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
