Job Description

Part Time Temporary Bookkeeper / Finance Support Consultant Weybridge Consultancy basis | 2–3 days per week | Preferably office-based, with some hybrid flexibility We are looking for an experienced temporary Bookkeeper / Finance Support Consultant for our Healthcare client, a dynamic and fast-growing pharmaceutical business based in Weybridge. The business is currently a team of 10 people and expanding rapidly. This will be an initial consultancy assignment, expected to be 2–3 days per week. Our preference is for the individual to be office-based, although hybrid working could work for the right person. The role is to support the Finance Director with a mix of core transactional finance responsibilities and broader finance support. It is important that candidates are comfortable operating in a changing environment, as the current accounting system is still largely outsourced but will be internalised and upgraded shortly. The role will also involve working within existing finance processes and helping support the development of stronger internal systems and controls as the function evolves. The key responsibilities are: * Invoice processing * Accounts payable, including supplier statement reconciliations and payment run preparation * Accounts receivable, cash allocation and credit control/aged debtor follow-up * Setting up and managing weekly payment runs * Bank statement and month-end bank reconciliations, including investigation of unreconciled items * Payroll coordination with the outsourced payroll provider, including payroll inputs, review and payment support * Input into monthly management accounts, month-end close activities, journals, reconciliations and monthly reporting * Monthly reporting, including working with our third-party logistics provider’s system * Preparation of quarterly VAT and Plastic Tax workings, reconciliations and reporting * Internal cost allocation across the businesses * Supporting appropriate financial controls, approvals and documentation during a period of system and process transition Candidate profile * Solid prior experience in bookkeeping and finance support * Confident across transactional finance tasks, including AP, AR, payment runs, reconciliations and payroll support * Able to work accurately, independently and with good attention to detail * Comfortable operating in a growing business and supporting changes to finance processes and systems * Knowledge of SAGE and Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous We are looking for someone practical, reliable and experienced who can provide immediate support to the Finance Director and help ensure the smooth running of the finance function during a period of growth and change
