An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced, part-time Trusts and Foundations Manager to join us at the Cathedral, on a 2 year fixed term contract working 30 hours per week on a salary of £26,011.00 per annum pro rata (£32,513.75 FTE). The role requires occasional attendance of out-of-hours functions, for which time off in lieu would be given. Working within the Development Team and reporting into the Director of Development the post holder will be responsible for generating precious income for the ongoing conservation of the Cathedral estate from grant applications to charitable, family and corporate Trusts and Foundations and other statutory sources.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Trust and Foundation fundraiser with a proven track record in achieving voluntary income targets and bid-writing. Other key duties include to:
• Research and identify potential funding sources
• Collaborate with various departments for information gathering
• Initiate, build and maintain relationships with relevant trusts and foundations, understanding their needs
• Develop and write grant proposals, ensuring timely submission
• Manage the grant application process
• Track and report on grant progress
• Stay updated on funding trends and opportunities
• Work collaboratively with the Finance Team to ensure grant income properly recorded, where appropriate as restricted funds
