Partnership Development Manager
Location: Home based in the Republic of Ireland, with requirements to travel
Salary: €66,722 gross per annum pro rata
Contract: Full Time 8 month FTC

The Role:
As our Partnership Development Manager you’ll provide advice on the development of strategy and priority areas for international growth, and build partnerships with higher education institutions, government departments, funders and other stakeholders.
Supporting the growth of our international membership, you’ll ensure the directorate has appropriate resources, support our business development strategy by generating leads and opportunities, promote training and consultancy services, and maintain a working knowledge of the policy and regulatory environment in which our members operate.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Director International Development and Head of Partnerships on the implementation of strategy, membership engagement and priority areas for commercial growth in assigned region.
• Business development and grow commercial income in region (consultancy, programmes and events).
• To support Advance HE in forming and managing partnerships with institutions and governments bodies/ funders across the regional higher education sector.
• To support the growth of international membership (for which the Head of Partnership, is responsible for relationship management and ‘delivery’).
• To deliver their Operations Plan through the effective use and management of resources including staying with budgetary restraints.
• To ensure the directorate has the correct level of resource, liaising with the Head of Partnership to take steps to ensure levels are maintained as required.
• To maintain an excellent working knowledge of the policy and regulatory environment in which member institutions operate and the Advance HE product set to inform strategic conversations.
• To support Advance HE’s business development strategy by generating leads and opportunities through strategic conversations, promoting training and consultancy services, and others products as and when appropriate.
• To adhere to quality standards and expectations for ensuring high quality, outcome focussed cost effective development and delivery of membership and consultancy internationally.
• To support and promote Advance HE on and its products and services to customers in assigned region and supporting regional product development
• To undertake and support appropriate international business development activity to develop Advance HE’s proposition.
• To maintain an area of specialist / regional knowledge and expertise for assigned region
• Any other reasonable duties commensurate with level of role.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
Essential:
• Excellent product knowledge across the full range of Advance HE’s products and service
• An understanding of the higher education sector in Ireland and its policy context with the aptitude to develop specific knowledge and expertise in country
• A high degree of emotional and cultural intelligence, diplomacy and political skill
• Excellent professional public speaking and presenting skills and excellent listening skills.
• Ability and willingness to provide constructive challenge
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills, underpinned by excellent listening skills and public speaking
• Business development and Sales acumen including generating leads, converting opportunities and securing incom
• A successful track record of customer relationship management.
• A successful track record of applying a creative, analytical, nuanced approach to identifying opportunities, and solving problems
• Degree with business development elements, or a specific business development qualification, or demonstrable experience to this leve
Desirable:
• Project Management qualification
