Automotive Parts Advisor /Parts Technician,Role Overview:
As a Parts Advisor /Parts Technician, you will manage the store's environment, ensuring the efficient handling of materials, fluids, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client-provided materials on-site.
Automotive Parts Advisor /Parts Technician Key Responsibilities:
Materials Issue:
Understand and fulfil technician requirements promptly.
Identify and understand the requirements of the technician
Issue materials to the GSE Technicians
Provide prompt and courteous counter service, and respond to telephone calls promptly
Provide courteous and efficient over-the-counter service.
Respond to telephone inquiries.
Pick and pack stock orders.
Generate daily reports.
Receive and log deliveries into the IT system.
Organise and maintain the goods received quarantine area.
Safely unload delivery vehicles.
Operate a company forklift truck.
Immediately notify suppliers of any damaged goods or short shipments.
Automotive Parts Advisor /Parts Technician Skills and Experience Required:
Experience in a HGV Parts, GSE, or Plant Machinery Parts or Car Parts stores environment.
Background in the vehicle maintenance sector.
Proven experience in a busy parts department.
Identify and understand the requirements of the technician
Issue materials to the GSE Technicians
Provide prompt and courteous counter service and respond to telephone calls promptly Familiarity with stores procedures and systems, especially in vehicle, plant, or machinery parts environments.
Valid UK driving licence.
Parts Advisor /Parts Technician, Additional Requirements:
Ability to obtain an airside pass, requiring a criminal record check and 5-year history verification.
