Parts Manager – Multi-Site | Hands-On Leadership Role
Based in Tonbridge covering 3 sites
Basic £40k, OTE £45k - £47k
Are you a proven Parts Manager ready to take on a real challenge?
This is not your average Parts Manager position — it’s a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up leadership role that requires grit, resilience, and a proactive mindset. The Parts Department across our three sites has seen its share of struggles, and we’re now looking for someone who can take charge, rebuild, and lead from the front.
If you're the kind of leader who doesn’t mind picking up the phone, stepping in to cover staff, and making big decisions when it matters — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Managing the Parts operations and 7 staff across 3 sites:
* Taking direct customer enquiries via phone and in person
* Ordering parts and maintaining stock accuracy
* Working closely with manufacturers and key suppliers
* Overseeing Trade Parts and growing key accounts
* Monitoring and improving departmental KPIs and budget performance
* Leading staff development: appraisals, training, and where necessary, disciplinaries
* Repping and building relationships with trade clients
* Driving process improvements and helping restore the department’s performance and reputation
Who We’re Looking For:
* An experienced Parts Manager with a proven record of turning around underperforming departments
* Comfortable managing a team and working solo when required
* Based near Tonbridge or willing to travel — flexibility is crucial as holiday/sickness cover may require on-site presence
* Strong understanding of parts operations, stock control, and supplier relationships
* Experience with relevant CRMs and parts catalogues (please detail these in your application)
