A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Parts Supervisor to join a busy, fast-paced dealership in Ipswich. If you have a background in parts operations within the motor trade and are ready to step into a supervisory role, this position offers the ideal next step in your career.
About the Role
As Parts Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Parts Manager in the smooth and efficient operation of the parts department. You will lead a small team, manage inventory and stock control, and ensure the timely delivery of parts to the workshop and retail customers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the parts department as the Parts Supervisor
Ensure timely and accurate ordering, receipt, and dispatch of parts
Maintain optimal stock levels and monitor stock accuracy
Provide guidance and supervision to Parts Advisors and junior staff
Collaborate with service and workshop teams to meet demand efficiently
Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers
Identify and act on upselling opportunities to increase departmental performance
Assist the Parts Manager with departmental reporting and performance tracking
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated and hands-on Parts Supervisor with:
Prior experience in a Parts Advisor or Parts Supervisor role within the automotive industry
Strong product knowledge of vehicle parts and systems
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy department
Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) – training available if needed
A full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years)What’s on Offer
Competitive basic salary up to £30,000 (DOE)
On Target Earnings (OTE) up to £32,000
