THE ROLE
You'll be working directly alongside senior colleagues and directors, managing and leading matters with a high level of independence and responsibility. You'll be advising clients on notifiable works, preparing notices and awards, carrying out site inspections, mentoring junior team members, and engaging with a wide array of neighbourly matters including oversail and access agreements.
Key Responsibilities for the Part Wall Surveyor:
Lead/ assist with day-to-day Party Wall matters from instruction to resolution
Conduct inspections and surveys related to Party Wall and associated neighbourly issues
Draft notices, schedules of condition, awards, reports, and assessments
Review proposals and identify necessary notifications
Advise clients clearly and confidently, maintaining exceptional service standards
Mentor and guide trainee and graduate surveyors
Collaborate on team development and deliver CPD content when neededRequirements the Party Wall Surveyor should have:
Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Party Wall matters
Membership of a recognised body such as P&T Society, FPWS, or RICS would be ideal.
Strong working knowledge of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written
Proven ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
A strong sense of professional responsibility, accuracy, and customer focus
A passion for progressing your technical expertise and industry standing
